My YALI STORY IN 6 MONTHS
Edited by Admin Users | Updated: Wednesday, 9 October 2019, 7:46 AMMy dream has always been to join YALI. This is because the YALI Alumni that have interacted with before were inspirational and doing great things in the community. The training was an eye opener and life changing. It was the first time in my life that i realised the passion and how to plan for the initiatives i was doing before then. Immediately after joining YALI i was elected as the Speaker of Youth Senate Kenya which is a youth led organisation that promotes the recognition of young people in different spheres of life.I take active leads in drafting of youth Policies that favour the young people. We successfully trying to make sure that the youths have the right information. For example in giving tenders, 30% should go to youths, women and disabled people. I have been able to share the fire in YALI with my fellow students in the University. Recently I gave a talk to First Year students on Volunteerism and Youth Leadership.
YALI has been a change maker in my life. It has completely made great contributions to where I am now.
Thank you YALI.
