When I went to the Center for the first time as a participant, I thought it was the simple fact to be counted among the Center’s selectees for my Cohort – Yet, it was my new leadership journey starting […] !
Since my graduation from the Center, I have focused on using all the tools at my disposal to make an impact on youth. One of the ways I am doing this is by serving as President of the Center’s Alumni Chapter in DRC. I was elected by the Center’s graduates from my country due to my eagerness to expend my talent, time and resources to transform the lives of others. Since then, my dreams have become large, but my actions even larger when I started a series of schools in my community to improve children’s education, mainly those coming from poorer background. My goal for the future is even wider, focusing on a series of linked educational systems from the Kenyatta University that will provide opportunities for those with few options. Furthermore, I currently focus on empowerment, leadership and social skills that will help youth in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on the pathway to success.
Owing to analytical potentialities the Center invested in me, I was selected as one of its 18 delegates for the 3rd annual African Business Practicum of the Yale School of Management, where I have developed my researcher, remoted Team work and problems solution skills as well. Better, I can feel myself becoming a solution finder within the African business industry to date.
From the Center, I have become more a servant and teacher than a leader – and this crowns my leadership. Nevertheless, I recognize that "I am neither what I was nor what I would be – but what I truly know is that something has shaped me: and that is YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa". And to date, I am Happy to be a Leader among Leaders across East and Central Africa. I am well on my way of becoming an exponential and emerging social entrepreneur [...]!
Anyway, I remain confident that "an open world begins by an open mind".
I close this synopsis by sincerely thanking the YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa’s Team for the great job to have invested in me – today I am passionately investing in others.-
